A prompting structure
Pull it all together with a practical prompting framework you can use from tomorrow. Structured, repeatable, and built for agency work.
Six building blocks for a reliable prompt. You won't always need all six — but the more that matter to the task, the more you should spell out.
"You are a project manager (role). Write a status update for our client (task). Cover progress, risks, then next steps (process). Base it only on the notes below (knowledge). Don't invent dates or commitments (rules). Give me three short paragraphs under 150 words (output format)."
Think of prompting like briefing a new team member. The clearer your brief, the better the first draft — then iterate from there.
